In conjunction with our M and E partners, Box and Charnock, 130 electricians and plumbers enjoyed a great afternoon watching Bedford Blues versus Launceston. After a delicious 3 course meal everyone braved the cold to watch the exciting game with Bedford Blues ultimately beating Launceston 43 -16.

The live band kept the party going until the oldies went home and the lads went into town to enjoy a pint or two well into the small hours.

Purple and silver jump suits, white platforms and long blonde wigs made there way on a coach to be met by Elvis at Wilton Hall in Bletchley. Twenty five office staff in their best Abba fancy dress enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal finished off by the 5ft chocolate fountain.

It was difficult to distinguish between the professional band and all of the office staff singing and dancing along to every song! They were even asked for autographs they were that good! All in all it was a great night and a ‘Super Douper trooper’ way to finish the incredible year we have had.

The 3rd Annual Funday was another huge success.

The fun started at 12.30pm with 70 + kids making their way to the craft tent while the 5 A-side football kicked off. After the clown had made lots of balloon animals, performed loads of tricks and the children had their faces painted the children’s disco started.

The 5 Aside football tournament came to a sweaty end with Riley McLaren united beating Box and Charnock to the winners shield.

The 1st live band ‘Hair of the dog’ rocked the afternoon away as everyone tucked into the tasty BBQ.

After all the mugs had been smashed and raised £40.00 for Bedford Hospital, the raffle began and raised a further £200.00. Mrs Stonebridge won the star prize and I’m sure she will have many happy hours playing vinyl on her top of the range stereo and turntable!!

The 2nd band ‘Slim 47’ started off the evening just as jacket potatoes and pizza were being served and it wasn’t long before there were lots of people dancing and singing the night away.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone that was involved in the day, including all the volunteers that helped and all those that planned the event.

A special thank you to the suppliers who donated prizes for the raffle or sponsored events on the day.

We look forward to 2008 being even bigger and better!!
